Ayurveda as an Adjunct Treatment for Type 2 Diabetes: A Case Presentation

Join us on August 25th from 10am-1pm for a workshop combining western science and Ayurveda!   In this workshop, we will be touching upon the basics of Ayurveda and Tridosha theory, which examines one's unique body and mind constitution before presenting a real case study of one of Aparna's patients with Type 2 Diabetes, hypertension, and fatty liver. We will delve into how western research and Ayurveda have a more comprehensive outlook for healing.

Yoga and Ayurveda

Ayurveda Self Care Rituals

Ayurvedic Self Care Rituals - with Meryll Montano OBJECTIVE: Self care is more accessible and affordable than we think. According to Ayurveda, dinacharya, or daily rituals soothe the body, calm the mind, and heighten the awareness of our senses. In this workshop, you will learn and practice the top 5 Ayurvedic self-care rituals that help with managing anxiety, stress, body pain, and imbalanced digestion. Ayurvedic Cooking Workshop

Join us on June 30th from 10am to 1pm in the beautiful Westside New Leaf Kitchen for an introduction to Ayurvedic cooking. A wholesome Ayurvedic lunch will be included. Did you know that 60-80% of our immune system is located in our gut and 80% of our body’s neurotransmitters are made in the gut? Ayurveda believes that the foundation of health starts with the digestive system. If your diet is not creating healthy microbes in the gut, then medicine alone will be insufficient.

Ayurvedic Spring Cleanse

Perfect Class to bring in the first day of Spring!  In this class participants will be given a series of Asanas and a 7-10 day healthy food plan that will assist with removing the toxins accumulated over the long winter months. The first part of the class will address the yogic postures that will ignite the body natural fires. The second part of the class will address the 7-10 day food plan.
