Wellness Wednesday 119: Table Top Pose
Benefits:
Strengthens back, legs, and arms.
Is a great starter pose.
Foundation & General Alignment:
Pose is done on hands and knees.
Arms are straight, keep elbows from hyperflexing.
Elbows are stacked above wrists.
Shoulders are back and away from ear, they are also above elbows.
Back is straight, there is no dip or arch.
Legs are hips width apart.
Thighs are straight, not slanting one way or another.
Feet can be flat or tucked.
Common Problems:
Back isn’t straight.
Shoulders tend to curve with this pose.
Modifications:
Blanket can be placed under knees for added comfort.
