Strengthens arms, legs, and back.
Foundation & General Alignment:
Can get into pose in whatever way is most comfortable for you.
Front leg is bent.
Knee is directly of ankle.
Back leg is straight.
Foot is up on toes for more engagement.
Back is straight with body.
Arms are bent with elbows and forearms resting on ground.
Hands can be in whatever way is most comfortable.
Belly is toned,.
Chest is up and away from floor.
Shoulders are back and away from ears.
Head can be facing downward or looking straight ahead.
Upper back is curved, making chest cave inward.
Knee is bent over ankle.
Can be done with back foot flat on ground to help with balance.
