Wellness Wednesday Week 113: Upward Western Intense Stretch Pose/ Urdhva Mukha Pashchimottanasana
Stretches backs of legs.
Foundation & General Alignment:
Start in boat pose and bring legs all the way to chest.
Shoulders are back and away from ears.
Chest is pressing forward as well as upwards.
Arms are wrapped around backs of legs or hands are grabbing onto toes.
Legs are as straight as possible.
Back isn’t curved .
Shoulders are curved inward.
Head is not looking up.
Knees can be bent.
Blanket can be used underneath hip bones.
