Food can be found everywhere in nature, you just have to know what exactly it is you’re looking for.

7 Natural Antacids

If you have a love of spicy food, or just food in general, odds are you've encountered indigestion at least once in your life. This can lead to acid reflux or heartburn. The digestion process had become interrupted and stomach acid can creep up into the esophagus. In Ayurveda, this is known as Amalpitta, a condition that occurs when pitta is aggravated. To restore balance, cooling foods that calm the inner fire are in order. These six foods pacify pitta, acting as a natural antacid.

Simple Vegan Stuffing Recipe

There is no turkey necessary for this simple, but tasty vegan stuffing recipe! Enjoy your holiday meal with a hearty bread stuffing that is sure to remind you of warmth, love and good memories this holiday season. I like using French bread because of its especially chewy crust and soft interior, but feel free to use any kind of sliced bread that you like. The onion and celery add a little bit of earthiness and a depth of flavor that the bread readily soaks up as you slowly bake it to crispiness in the oven.

Superfood 101: Chia Seeds!

Chia is a species of the sage plant which produces pods filled with tiny seeds. It is a New World plant that has long been used by the Native Peoples of Central America, northern South America and southwestern North America. The term chia is the Aztec word for strength. When soaked in water, it changes into a gelatin-like consistency that was used to make refreshing drinks and porridges. The Aztecs also dried and ground the seeds to make flour for baking breads. They sprouted the seeds for salads and sprinkled them on many dishes and stored the seeds for future use.
