At this time in the sky, we have Mars and Ketu conjunct in the sign of Aquarius.  This can bring about a time of deep psychological exploration or inhibited energy resulting in frustration, or even possibly make real estate a focus.  To further understand why this is the case, let’s explore the energies of these two planets.

Common sense in our culture holds that only hard work begets rewards and that doing, and not being, is the hallmark of success. To reach a goal, we are told to aim high, work hard, put the pedal to the metal and the nose to the grindstone and get ahead. On top of that, our level of success also dictates our self-esteem. If we do not find success in our worldly endeavors, we cannot claim to be upstanding, or even whole, individuals.

If you feel like you are spinning your wheels while trying to move forward and you are occasionally moving sideways instead, this is due to the upcoming Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse on Friday, July 27. This powerful eclipse, which will be visible in Europe, South America, Australia, and Africa, conjoins not only the South Node of the Moon in Aquarius, but also fiery Mars in Aquarius.

Imagine driving along the coast of California, admiring the gorgeous views and stunning beaches. You pull over, step out of the car, and smell the magical scent of fresh Pacific Ocean air. I recently returned from a writing residency in Slovenia, the small country that sits east of Italy and lays wedged between Austria to the north and Croatia in the south. Few people are aware of its existence, and prior to spending several weeks there, I considered myself to be fairly unaware of it, too. Unfortunately, Slovenia deserves a lot more credit than it gets, specifically for its greenness—think low pollution levels, preservation of natural resources, encouragement of biodiversity, and more.
