1/8 ~ Sun (core Self) ~sextile~ Jupiter (optimism):
This energy is sometimes considered "lucky" but the success you achieve under this influence, is more likely due to a positive outlook and clear vision of who you are and what you want. Your life is expanding, your self-understanding is deepening and it will be easier to be around other people of higher consciousness, improving things and creating opportunities that benefit a larger number of people. There is a healthy dose of optimism around some grand plan, and things are moving, but make sure to do the foundation work to support this larger vision as it manifests in reality. If you are a teacher/guide/leader of any sort, this energy supports your group efforts, so giving workshops, seminars or new classes is totally supported and will benefit you, while serving others.

This energy expands your relationships, personal or professional, allowing you to gain traction in expressing the Highest vibration of this Union possible. In personal relationships, things are sociable, light & fun. In professional or public relationships, things can go more smoothly as folks are more relaxed and easy-going, upbeat and open to exchanging ideas & concepts. This energy activates our innate optimism and natural positive thinking, so it is a good time to look into expanding your knowledge base in some way that makes you more valuable to the team. You'll have the connection to your instincts and confidence with others that is a winning combination!
1/8 ~ Mars (desire & action) ~sextile~ Pluto (purification & transformation):
This is lower will meets Higher Will ~ within you! Mars is your inner Masculine and therefore helps you take action & make choices according to who you are and what you want. Pluto will ensure that you come from the purest place within (Soul-level), which often entails a cleansing of the non-essential and over-growth of the last cycle first. Luckily, this is not a "hard/bad" activation but an opportunity to connect with what you really want, at the deepest Soul-level, which will naturally lead to whatever is blocking that and its ultimate release. Keep in mind that those who are more out-of-touch with who they are and what they want tend to explode & implode when Mars & Pluto get together, even in a positive aspect like this one. This is a potent and (thankfully) positive mix of energy & power coming together, direct it wisely on your own behalf. This activation is a great opportunity for substantial forward movement, however, nothing worthwhile comes without conscious effort and sacrifice. (With Pluto involved there is always a sacrifice.) In this case, the sacrifice will likely be where your vision of the final outcome is concerned. Your desires can/will be fulfilled but they just may not "look" like you thought they would. This activates your innate creativity and gets your wheels turning about what you want to bring to life in the world, what you want to invest in and be a part of. When Sun contacts Venus, the creativity is centered around you, however, here as Venus contacts the Sun, it is all about the creation! Use this Solar infusion to brighten and illuminate your self, your surroundings or your creative projects. This expands your magnetic field and opportunities result. There is a burst of new energy wanting to be expressed through you, and it's based on your new values and priorities. It is the beginning of a new creative cycle. Love too is a creative force, so if your relationships are more center-stage than your creative projects, then this too lends new potency to what you create with others. This energy supports a new beginning in your personal life. Some aspect of your values & priorities has shifted or run its natural course and this is a time to move in a new direction, if only moving to your own next level (with love, finances or relationships). Pluto adds intensity to the mix, for better or worse, but also grants access to profound levels of connection with those you are in alignment with on a Soul-level. This is the ultimate support for the power of love to transform ALL. Because your values and priorities are shifting, relationships must also undergo a similar adjustment (when you change, everyone around you changes or goes away). Beware of value differences that can cause power struggles which are unproductive, that's ego distracting you from the opportunity to release some dead weight and move into the new with more ease & grace. Try to create circumstances that are win/win, and mutually beneficial, this will allow the relationship to evolve, rather than revolve back into the new cycle and thus, repeating.

This energy brings to mind a quote, "circumstances don't make a man, they reveal him". The Sun (ego) and Pluto (transformation) are connecting and you are often a different Being once this energy passes and the two planets separate again (they meet once a year). Pluto brings into the Light, aspects of our Selves which have been buried, neglected or ignored lately (or for some, a very long time). Sometimes that is miraculous & life-saving, and other times this can be arduous & exhausting, but it is completely natural. With this energy, you can now more fully access your Source (Sun) and transcend (Pluto) who you "used to be" and begin to truly embody who you are becoming. Bringing things into the Light comes in many forms, as you question all you thought you were or thought you knew about what you really want to express in this lifetime. You can use this as a Rebirth of Light within you or you can look at it as Light being brought to your deepest, darkest places within to heal them with pure Light. It is an initiation that often requires release of some kind that, ultimately, allows you to grow & blossom in new, more authentic ways. As always, concentrated power (Pluto) must be responsibly directed, so watch any projections or provoked power struggles and pick your battles (everybody doesn't like Light in their dark places). It's time to question if the sacrifice you're making is truly worth it? Relationships often strain under this influence because it is such *raw truth* rising from the Soul but it also brings things to the surface that are better addressed sooner than later. This is a happy, upbeat energy, so if you can be sociable, by all means, get out and mingle. It's possible to attract someone under this influence as well. This energy is excellent for any important project that requires your undivided attention. If you’ve got a vision and have already outlined how to manifest it, now is the time to really fill in the blanks – flesh it out – bring it to life! Do the work! If you do not channel this energy toward patiently and methodically taking the steps (in order) to get to the next level, then it can manifest in frustration that you are not doing what you know in your heart you’re supposed to be doing at this time. It leads to negative thinking and self-sabotage. A better expression would be to not think of the things that can go wrong, but entertain the possibility that every door opens and all paths lead to your goal, no matter how they appear at the moment.
1/13 ~ Venus (love, finances & relationships) ~square~ Uranus (sudden change):
This is a test to grow that you cannot plan for. Venus rules your values & priorities and an activation with Uranus signifies something sudden and seemingly out-of-the-blue. Of course, this isn't true, but it can feel that way. The truth is, it is time to do something "different" where your love, finances or relationships are concerned. Making a conscious effort to do things in a completely new way will be rewarded with a lesson and a blessing you would've never considered. Due to new revelations happening within you, the immediate response will come from those closest to you. If you're in relationships (personal or professional) that have reached a point where they have to change or end, this is a good time to try to discuss it openly and with as much detachment & objectivity as possible.
