Raising Fiber Rabbits

Raising rabbits for their fiber, or wool, isn't hard to do. We have raised a large herd of French Angoras for their wool, and have loved every minute of it. They are soft, cute, and even very friendly, but they do need a few additional steps in their care.

Essential Oils For Consciousness: White Fir & Karma

Before our embodiment, I imagine we were traversing endless passageways and landscapes of time/space. Living other lives as other names in other places and following the ways of the culture, our ancestors, and the tug in our hearts. If you believe in past lives, that is.

I do.

Punarnava: The Powerful Renewer

Before harvesting or using punarnava, please make sure to carefully read the disclaimers below.

Punarnava, the Sanskrit word for the medicinal plant commonly known in English as spreading hogweed, literally translated means “renewer” or “rejuvenator.” Punar- means “again,” and -nava translates to “new.” Punarnava is steadily gaining attention in the expansive world of natural health medicine as a powerful medicinal herb with a wonderful laundry list of health-promoting benefits supporting longevity and youthfulness.

Witchin' In The Kitchen: 3 Methods For Making Medicinal Teas

A soothing cup of lemon balm tea at the end of a long day can be a lovely respite. Many commercial herb teas have instructions to steep for something like 3-6 minutes.  This is fine for a simple “beverage” tea, but is inadequate for a truly medicinal brew. Sun Salutations Make The Healthiest Yoga Routine

One of my favorite exercise routines is doing Surya Namaskars (sun salutations). Each Surya Namaskar makes you stretch and use muscles you didn’t even know you possessed and more than that—it regulates your body processes at an elemental level, unlike any other exercise. I began with barely managing to do 12 a day but now do 32 in one go. And I plan to increase it as I go along. So here go my reasons for doing the Surya Namaskar, and why you should get on the sun salutation bandwagon too.

Healing Stones: Red Garnet & Life Force Energy

Red as blood, red as molten lava, as the fires of life dancing in the embers. Dark as night, as the cave of wonders, as the unknown depths of a person’s soul before discovering the gifts awaiting them. Red garnet is a dark red stone whose vibration and color helps us to tune into the richness of our capacity to live by aligning us with the fires of kundalini awakening in our root.

What Is 推拿 Tui Na?

Tui Na 推拿 translates as “Push and Grasp” and indicates the active, hands on form of massage/bodywork sometimes referred to as “Chinese Meridian Massage.” Developed and practiced over thousands of years, Tui Na follows the theories and concepts of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), utilizing the remarkable energies of the hand guided by the mind/heart Xin ⼼.
