Virgo Full Moon: Practical Idealism

Virgo Full Moon – March 1, 2018

You were inspired but you missed some of the details. Think it through and present it again. Relax. Have faith.

A Full Moon represents full illumination or awareness that leads to reflection about what you can change.

The Aquarius New Moon on February 15 started a cycle of social progress and group ideals that will impact many of us over the course of this month and beyond. The energies of Aquarius opened up the doorway for greater intellect, perception, and insight regarding the groups we associate with, such as family, friends, the larger community, or the world at large. Mercury and Uranus provided the energy for revelatory ideas that could be communicated clearly and be a perfect creative solution for everyone involved.

So, will it go as planned? What do the Full Moon energies reveal to us?

Rushing to Fantasy

The ruler of Aquarius, Uranus, makes it very clear that though we may have had an original and innovative flash of illumination, we didn’t give those idealistic ideas enough time to fully think them through. Sun conjunct Neptune in Pisces is about identifying with the spiritual or mystical realm. There can be a deep connection to utopian ideals, imagination and sometimes delusion. (Uranus semi-square Sun/Neptune)

Analysis and Discernment Needed

A sesquisquare is another indicator of imbalance. Uranus provided the inspiration but, again, the idea wasn’t analyzed and perfected in Virgo fashion. The energy of Virgo is known for being analytical, practical, logical and detail oriented. (Uranus sesquisquare Moon)

Balancing Heaven and Earth

When the emotional Moon mixes with the detail-oriented Virgo, tension and nervousness result. Virgo would rather use logic, not emotions. Because Virgo is a perfectionist, what results is criticism, both outwardly toward others and inwardly toward self. In addition, Virgo Moon opposite the Sun in Pisces is dueling a strong dose of the intangible, etheric, and idealistic world that Virgo simply doesn’t work well in. Pisces uses faith, while Virgo uses logic. Pisces is artistic, while Virgo is technical. Pisces is dreamy while Virgo has her feet firmly planted on the ground. What is needed is a healthy balance of the practical nature of Virgo with the idealism of Pisces (Moon in Virgo opposing Sun/Neptune in Pisces)

Delightful Conversation

Mercury governs information and communication. Venus touches our sense of love, beauty, harmony, and elegance. Together, they work seamlessly with the emotional energies of Pisces to encourage communication that is more loving and diplomatic. (Mercury/Venus in Pisces)

I Thought We Were Getting Along

Mars plays an increasingly stronger role as it approaches the square to Mercury and Venus. Also, Mars’s trine with Uranus is adding impulsivity and volatility to Mars’s fire. Mars energy has the potential to upset our communication style by being too forceful or aggressive. (Mars square Mercury/Venus)

The Gift of the Golden Tongue

Jupiter, the planet of opportunity and good fortune, provides both a hand- and a leg-up with his trine to Venus/Mercury. Jupiter’s abundance expands the beautiful collaboration of pleasurable conversation. He strongly encourages to speak our minds, make the pitch. The truth will be heard. (Jupiter trine Venus/Mercury)

Recap

This Full Moon on March 1, 2018, indicates that we most likely missed some of the details of our revelatory idea or insight from the New Moon. We had the drive and originality, but our presentation/communication missed the mark and wasn’t understood and accepted.

The oppositional energies of Virgo and Pisces are strongly in play. Though Pisces’s idealistic nature makes a strong case, we simply need to gather all the data in order to discern the information thoroughly.

Once we have completed the thought process from start to finish we can communicate our ideas in a manner so harmonious to others that we are sure to win acceptance and approval.
