Try this healthier version of French fries! By baking the fries instead of frying them and using sweet potatoes instead of the classic white Russet potato, you can keep more of the nutrients and leave behind some of the extra calories and fats. The seasonings can be used as moderately or as generously as you like and feel free to try out your own flavors!
-Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
-Wash and peel the sweet potatoes before slicing them into about ¼-inch fry sections.
-In a medium bowl, toss the sweet potato fries in just enough olive oil to coat them completely. Then add the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika to your taste.
-Line a baking sheet with foil and spread the fries out in a single layer before putting them in the oven.
-Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the fries are golden brown. You may need to turn them occasionally for even cooking.
-Allow to cool before serving.
