The Libra New Moon is the time to focus on your relationships! Whether your relations are good or bad, this is the time to decide how you would like them to proceed in the future!

It will be a very busy day on the Harvest Moon (Full Moon) of Friday, September 13—which you may notice is also Friday the 13th! 

In addition to the superstition associated with Friday the 13th, the planets will be forming a tense T-square in the sky (2 square angles or 3/4 of a grand cross) under this Full Moon. This portends the feeling of being at a crossroads. Or, if you don’t feel at a crossroads, you may feel you are missing a piece of information, so you cannot necessarily move forward or back. You may feel temporarily stuck.

The New Moon in Leo occurs on Wednesday, July 31, just 46 minutes before Mercury completes its retrograde cycle. With Mercury in Cancer in retrograde at the moment of the Leo New Moon (8:12 pm PDT/11:12 pm EDT), this celestial line-up portends delays in communication—either in delivering communication, receiving communication, or formulating an idea or expressing an idea. It will be important to have patience!

This week we have the full special planetary aspect of Mars landing upon Jupiter.  While Mars is considered to be a cruel planet in Vedic astrology, it is actually helpful to Jupiter.  This is because in Vedic Astrology we have a system of determining the help or hindrance that one planet influencing another causes from what is known as natural planetary relationships.

Each new year represents a clean slate and a time to create course corrections to those areas in our lives that aren’t meeting our expectations.  This is why we create things like new year’s resolutions and create promises to make this upcoming calendar year better than the last.  Whereas these intentions are great, there is at times a reluctance to implement these changes in our lives because it typically represents moving out of our comfort zone. 

This week we have Jupiter and Venus coming conjunct to the exact degree in the sign of Sagittarius.  I will discuss how these two planets interact both individually and together and what this can indicate.  I’ll also cast it in the light of the eclipse that is taking place this Sunday, January 20.

A powerful New Moon Solar Eclipse arrives on Saturday, January 5, 2019! It will be visible in East Asia and Southern Alaska. Although this celestial event may not be visible where you live, you will feel its powerful reverberations nonetheless! This is because the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Capricorn occurs very close to two other powerful planets: structured Saturn in Capricorn and transformational Pluto in Capricorn. The 3 celestial bodies—the Moon, Saturn, and Pluto—will conjoin each other in Capricorn within hours of the eclipse. 

Planetary Transits & Cosmic Interplay for the week of Dec 2-8

Finally, this week we have the official end of this Mercury retrograde cycle.  Last week we had Mercury leaving Sagittarius where it was with Sun and Jupiter and bringing its distractions and disruptions.  When Mercury went retrograde into Scorpio it was the first sign of breaking up the distraction cycle that this retrogression period was all about.  Now, with it finally going direct again, we have the official end of this cycle.
