Vedic Astrology For Nov 11-17: Finding Creative Solutions Amidst The Flux Of Change

Planetary Transits & Cosmic Interplay for the week of Nov 11–Nov 17

There is a lot going on this week in the sky and really during this time.  If one has been following my articles for the last few months since the series of eclipses in July, or is just aware of how this has been playing out in life and taking note of the time, then it would be clear about how much this time was about feeling stuck energetically, figuring out how to stand out amongst your peers, how to best utilize one’s energy, and of ego clashes in general.

Well, I’ve got some good news for everybody: this time is all passing now and finding resolution.  One may even experience this to be a time of completion and finalization, or even find themselves walking away from a conflictual environment.  There is a lot going on in the sky that suggests this to be the case.  We have Mars finally leaving Aquarius where it was “stuck” with Ketu for about three months, Jupiter is transiting into Sagittarius from Scorpio (where it was for about a year), Ketu and Rahu are transiting from Aquarius and Cancer respectively (where they had been for about a year and a half), and then we have Mercury retrograde beginning at the end of the week.  Without even getting into detail here, all of this happening in such a short window of time can be associated with a shift in energy—a rather impactful one at that.

Mercury as the herald

So, what can we expect from this shift?  Firstly, I feel like this may feel like a swirl of energy that may be hard to grasp at first and to comprehend any specific details until the Mercury retrograde period starts.  This, to me, seems to be the herald of this change.  I think we are all aware of how Mercury can bring about issues with communication and information during its retrogression.  However, Mercury doesn’t necessarily create problems as much as it reveals them.  This is more than likely what this retrogression period will indicate.  Specifically, it will bring about the introduction of a new paradigm revolving around the placement of the lunar nodes, Ketu and Rahu.  I explained in last week’s article about the paradigm shift becoming anew of balancing the opposites of letting go and of fixing things.  With this passage of Mercury’s retrogression period, while the norms will present themselves, what will really come to the surface will be of feeling a pressing need to fix the problem or its opposite which is of things falling apart because of lack of attention.  This side of issues will find themselves more prevalent and look for this to be the backdrop to the issues that Mercury’s retrogression brings about this time around.

Creativity at a high

Another layer to this time is that we have three planets in Jupiter’s signs (Jupiter and Mercury in Sagittarius and Mars in Pisces) and Rahu in Cancer, which is the sign ruled by the Moon.  Jupiter and Moon are known as planets of creativity and with so much focus on these signs, then this can strongly indicate a time where one’s creativity is getting stimulated.  Since Rahu represents going to extremes and foreign territory, that is why it is said to represent technology as this typically stems from outside of the box thinking.  It may at first have sounded like a radical idea and too crazy to be true at first, but this is the positive side of Rahu’s energy in which it takes one to places they’ve never been before.  For creative thinking this can be when one really takes off on a new level.  Jupiter itself is in Sagittarius and is known as a planet that gives expansion to things and also brings about new things that one is naturally a byproduct of one’s imagination and efforts.  Mercury being in Sagittarius and with Jupiter can also give rise to creating something new, but Mercury is more the planet of repetition and skill and so will give assistance to one’s creativity by throwing in the time to practice and work on the craft.

The other planet I’ve yet to mention in this smorgasbord is that of Mars in Pisces.  I’ve saved the best for last as I believe Mars is really going to be the modifier to this energy of creativity that will be most influential in how this comes about, especially when considering the Rahu and Ketu placement I mentioned earlier. What I mean is that at this time the creativity that will get stimulated will be in regards to fixing a situation and/or solving a problem.  It will be about finding a creative solution that one never even considered before.

What to expect

This may seem somewhat cliché, but the best way to prepare for this time is to meditate.  Since there is so much change coming and things are about to take a new twist, the key is to prepare oneself by slowing down and opening up for changes to come.  Change is absolutely inevitable, like it or not, and this is a period where things will be presenting themselves differently in a new paradigm.

So, the best way to prepare is not by listmaking or thinking of every possible outcome, it’s more so about getting in the flow and being ready to adapt to the sudden changes by implementing methods previously unconsidered.  This creativity is something that will be brought out by the situation’s needs which haven’t presented themselves yet.  It will be unexpected which means that the only way to really prepare for this is to ground oneself, find one’s center, and get in tune with one’s true nature.  It’s about being ready to act and to shift gears at the drop of a hat like it’s natural.  This is a whole lot easier if one’s nerves are relaxed and grounded.  Otherwise, Mercury’s retrogression will keep one’s mind running in circles and we all know how that tends to work out.  :)
