Self-transcendence has always been an essential aspect of spiritual practice. One could perhaps say this self-transcendence is the very core of all spiritual endeavors, whether they be religious, philosophical, empirical, or otherwise.  We fundamentally seek to transcend the ego, to move beyond all internalized limitations, though the true essence of this venture has perhaps been greatly lost in the world today.

Let’s discuss the meaning of this. To understand the workings of the ego is to move towards higher knowledge.

We are energy, and our Self is not limited to the insides of our body. We have a bio-magnetic energy field that essentially goes on forever (hence our ability to potentially be conscious of all of existence of which we are apart of), like a candle’s light goes on forever – although this is most prevalent and potent to our perceptible experience within the auric field extending around our body.

The truth has been obscured by ideology. Not a particular ideology, rather ideology in and of itself.

Ideology is essentially any form of pathology that is based in a belief system. It is that which arises when we identify with our beliefs. For instance, let’s say I identify as being a republican/democrat, or a religious person, or an artist, then every thing I perceive will be seen through the lens of that particular identity. This is ultimately divisive and destructive, for the narrative, the storyline, the fantasy is then given more weight than the truth. 

We are ever so often our own worst enemies. It is in the very nature of human beings to contradict ourselves. We get in the way of that which we most deeply desire, and for this reason we live in a state of conflict. We are all a walking paradox in our own right. Perhaps in bringing light to this issue we can move beyond it, and in that come to actualize ourselves as one unified force of consciousness.

Why do we get in our own way?

Time is flying! Have you noticed how our perception of time is somewhat weird at the moment? Suddenly, you wake up and it feels like you’ve lost three days or even an entire month? On the other hand there are things in our life that just don’t want to unravel how we would like them to and nothing seems to move forward…. Weird...but no worries, things are moving forward in an extremely fast pace, it’s just that our perception can’t keep up with it!

One of the most common and strongest energetic ties leading to inner fragmentation and energetic blockage we have to face on our journey is the energy that is bound to our upbringing, and how it has influenced our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual development  -- as well as our manifestation ability. These bindings determine large parts of our predisposition, and often play a key role in Shadow-Work.

Collective energies are on turbo drive again, unveiling the global ego and its shadow. The energetic bombardment through political merry-go-rounds, financial crashes, contaminated food and water, social injustice, techno-control, spiritual emergencies, Wave-X, you name it, has only yet begun. The global shadow is about to unleash its most powerful weapon upon us: Fear, Anger and Negativity.
