Recovering from a drug addiction is one of the hardest things for a person to do—especially when you’re feeling depressed and looking for something to help improve your mood.

Creating Security When You Feel Insecure

This whole week I’ve been spinning out, contemplating the future. “If this happens, then I’ll do this. If that happens, then I’ll do that.” I’ve been on a veritable hamster wheel of potential future outcomes. "Hygge": The Danes' Key to Coziness

It’s a bone-shivering day, overcast and dreary outside. She made a separate, vegetarian-friendly casserole dish that has been one of my all-time favorite go-to comfort foods ever since. It’s one of those things where you really can’t help yourself. I’m known to go for seconds (okay, thirds).

Moves To Inner Peace Series: Abhaya Mudra

Fear is the enemy of peace. You cannot be in a state of fear and peace at the same time; one has to make room for the other.

There are also the deeper fears within us. The fear of others, the fear of being defined by others, fearing connections or lack thereof and fearing life’s challenges.

Moves to Inner Peace Series: Dance

This move defies the age, gender, social, and financial barriers of most exercises we know. It is a very accepting and inclusive type of movement; you need no equipment, fancy instructions or special skills to do it.

It’s merciful when you break the rules and it gives you a chance to express yourself. It’s ok, and it is recommended to do what your body tells you to do as the sound transports you to unexpected places.
