Meditating on Manifestation- How To Call In What You Really Need

We have the best of intentions with vision boards capturing what it is we want and affirmations to remind us of it. We watch enlightened films on attracting what we want, but somehow what we want is still out of our grasp. The reason why may surprise you. It is because part of you is pushing away all that you are calling in.

Staying Sensitive In A Not So Sensitive World: Meditation

We explored using Mantra as a tool for staying Sensitive in a not so sensitive world in the first part of the ‘staying sensitive’ series.

Now, I would like to go deeper into using meditation to stay sensitive and process all that is perceived by the sensitive soul.

The yogis say a thousand thoughts are thought with each blink of the eye and those we don’t act upon are dumped in the subconscious mind. Even though the subconscious mind is vast, it can fill up and affect our unconscious or conscious mind and eventually disrupt the physical body as well.

Staying Sensitive In A Not So Sensitive World: Mantra Practice

Growing up I felt more at home in nature then in the classroom. I felt overwhelmed and anxious in groups, like there was just too much going on at once and I couldn’t keep up. Being an emotional creature, I could cry at the slightest sadness or shudder at a hint of fear. I felt raw to a world where every one else seemed numb. Then I discovered that I was not alone.

The Beauty of Yogic Body Care

When I first started practicing yoga, I was driven by both spiritual and emotional factors, but I also wasn’t getting any younger and felt the need to do what I could to maintain my physical body.

I had no idea how deep the practices would take me! Not only would they offer the realization that I was more than the physical, and that the physical body was a temple, they would also purify, rejuvenate and beautify this sacred vessel.

From this came the desire to care deeply for this temple my soul had been given and to make this devotion part of my daily yoga routine.

Kundalini Yoga for a Healthy Sex Life

The ancient practice of kundalini yoga was designed to assist one in recognizing, cultivating and utilizing the life force essence stored in the base of the spine known as kundalini. When directed properly and with consciousness this vital energy can be used not only solo, to boost one's health and spiritual evolution, but between couples to enhance connection as explored in Kundalini Yoga in Relationships.

Expanding Your Practice: Kapalabhati Pranayama

**Note Kapalabhati is not recommended for pregnant women. If you begin to feel dizzy or anxious during the practice slow down your breathing or halt the practice.

What is Kapalabhati?

Kapalabhati is a breathing technique that is exceptionally effective for detoxifying the body, strengthening the core, and warming the body. Kapalabhati is often translated to “skull shining breath,” which alludes to its mind clarifying properties. In Kundalini, this practice is often called “breath of fire,” because of the heat it produces in one’s core.
