Blessing of the Pets

Join us for the second annual Blessing of the Pets on the Bayou! We will be out for a picnic on the Bayou from 10:30 am - 1:00 pm. Bring your chairs, food, beer, kids and of course your pets! Pastor Brian Jeansonne from Mid-City Vineyard Church will be blessing the pets throughout the event. The event will be held under the large oak tree on the Bayou across from the Post Office between Orleans and the Greenway! There will be raffles, hot dogs, jambalaya and more! The entire event if FREE! Please have all pets on a leash.

2018 HSWM PetPro Conference

4th Annual Thomas J. Henry Bark in the Park - San Antonio

Bark in the Park is a pet costume contest and expo benefiting San Antonio pet rescue organizations. Bark in the Park started in Corpus Christi, Texas in 2012 as a fun, festive event bringing together pet-owners, local pet businesses, pet rescue organizations, and no-kill pet shelters in an attempt to raise money and awareness for pet initiatives in the community. 2018 marks the fourth year for Bark in the Park- San Antonio.

West Marine Portland Presents Dog Appreciation Day

Dog Photo Contest winners announced --  $100 / $50 / $25 store gift card prize. Pooch treats provided. Pet product raffle. Making A Difference 2018

Making A Difference 2018, presented by Making A Difference Now (MADN), welcomes animal lovers, volunteers and potential volunteers, animal shelter, rescue, and care and control organizations, veterinarians and staff, local and state officials, and anyone who cares about animals to join us on September 21. The Botanical Dog: Cold & Flu Support For Your 4-Legged Friend

Dogs can actually catch your cold or flu. Who knew??  Like us, they can come down with a whole slew of respiratory bugs: cold viruses, flu viruses, bacterial respiratory infections such as kennel cough (Bordatella). Dogs even have a doggie-specific flu virus, “canine influenza virus” and the symptoms are similar to our own annual people version of the flu…achiness, fatigue, fever, runny nose, wet cough.
