Heather lives with her family in Northern Indiana on 1/5 of an acre city lot. They garden, raise chickens, ducks turkeys, quail, bees, and rabbits on this area and strive to grow at least 75% of their own food. Her journey toward homesteading started with 2 free hens given to her, and grew from there. Each year, they add a bit more to the homestead as they learn.
