New Year Visioning Passage on the Mountain

This semi-retreat passage is set high in the Raggeds in a remote, snowy, offgrid cabin. In this immersion you will mark and celebrate the passage into becoming with the New Year through Council, medicine walks, day quests, and soundwalks within the snow-filled terrain. On day 1, each participant will work with the guides to clarify their intention. On days 2 & 3, participants will explore opening toward the insight and vision (seeing clearly) of their intention and where it is being supported and what needs to be released. On day 4, participants will return with complete the marking of the new year passage by returning back to the community, family, & home. Full Description: Visioning invites us to explore the world beyond the seen, and supports us humans opening toward the liminal and the possible. Wild and wildness refers to the untamed aspect of our psyche/Self, and the swirling creative energies inherent within such colorful passion. Wild-visioning is the opening of this inner wildness into the external container of voice & possibility. Over the course of these four nights and five days you will be immersed into the passage of the new year atop the mountain and create a sacred space for the creative, clear, and wild aspect of your being to accompany yourself & others (human and more-than-human) into the new lunar passage. Connecting to the wilderness of the natural world is reciprocal to connecting to the wilderness of our being. Our days together will be taken up with weaving the four shields of human nature & ecopsychology as the foundation for engaging in group council, nature-explorations, yin yoga, medicine walks, gentle yoga and meditation. Guides: Colleen Bishop & Thompson Bishop Assistant Guides: TBD We will rendezvous at 9:00 AM on the morning of December 29th in Redstone, Colorado. From here we will carpool to the top of a mountain pass and snowmobile for five miles into the mountains and then snowshoe into a remote, off-grid cabin at 11,000' which will be the setting for this retreat. Heated by fire and lit by solar, this cabin is surrounded by wilderness and vast snowfields of craggy mountains. Four bunks, two twin beds, one queen bed, a warm shower, a snorkel stove, and a full kitchen provide rest and comfort for this immersion, while the forested-earth and expansive vista provide the sacred invitation for contact with a ceremony in nature.
