Many aspects of our society ask us to become domesticated in the ways we inhabit our minds, emotions, and physical bodies. In order to break free and to reclaim our wildness, we can look to unconventional embodiment to learn more about who we are truly meant to be. This class will use ancient archetypes, Katonah Yoga, and somatic therapy as the template around which we will explore our mental, emotional, and physical worlds.
ALL bodies welcomed. Students should have some experience with a yoga practice.
Please bring your own mat!
“The doors to the wild Self are few but precious. If you have a deep scar, that is a door, if you have an old, old story, that is a door. If you love the sky and the water so much you almost cannot bear it, that is a door. If you yearn for a deeper life, a full life, a sane life, that is a door." --Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Women Who Run With The Wolves
