From here on out, we all travel together!) ~We all stay in same hotel in anchorage on 7/6 to 7/7 (double occupancy) ~Alaska Railroad travel to Whittier leaves Anchorage Sunday morning 7/7/2019 arrives in Whittier around noon. ~Our Hosts, Chris & Naomi will meet us at the rail depot, take a short walk to the harbor, have an easy lunch, go over some boat etiquette and safety talk, then board the boat. ~Leaving Whittier harbor, we will take a 35 mile boat ride to the cabin, unload and get situated. This will be most of the day. The high tide will be at 5:30 P.M, as the water drops, the beach will become exposed and walking the lagoon, will provide plenty of un-navigated, open space for activities while Naomi gets dinner prepared. ~We meet after dinner Sunday night for Opening ceremony. ~Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday we get Wild in the wilderness, connect with this beautiful land, and pay respects to mother earth & our infinite souls through all the activities listed above. Plus campfires at night!!! ~Thursday, July 11, we begin our travel back to Anchorage. Breakfast, activity, load gear, lunch, back to Whittier by 4 to 4:30 p.m. Drop off bags at train station, explore Whittier until train leaves @ 6:45 P.M. 9:15 p.m. arrive in Anchorage, take the shuttle back to the hotel. Stay in the same hotel, and fly home Friday, July 12, 2019.
