Ayurvedic Cooking and Home Remedies Workshop with Revathi Raghavan

Cooking and Nutrition - Spice up your health the Ayurvedic way! It is said that we are what we eat. Ayurveda goes a step further to say - we are not only what we eat, but also what we digest! Become your own wellness alchemist! Learn how to recognize imbalances and the means to correct them – through delicious foods. The state of our mind depends on the food we eat. It is also said that when diet is correct medicine is of no need. Food is one of the four sources of energy. The quantity, quality and type of food can affect our minds, and therefore outlook. So, what to eat, when to eat and how much to eat is important to our health and well-being.  Bursting with knowledge from the Ayurvedic tradition, this cooking course has insights for novice cooks and experienced culnarians alike. Learn about the "Shad-rasas" or the 6 tastes that makes food tasty and how you can tailor and cook meals according to your body type (Ayurvedic constitution), as well as Ayurvedic recepies for your entire family.  Course includes classroom time, cooking & eating! We will cook (and eat!) simple, wholesome recipes applying Ayurvedic cooking principles which can be followed for any cuisine. We will discuss and use spices to help create tasty and easily digestible food. BONUS - Home Remedies Workshop.
