Robbins LPC, RPT-S This workshop is for you- it is for the therapists who work with children and teenagers.   This training will help therapists to curtail their play therapy and adolescent therapy work to involve parents in a healthy and functional way. This training will enhance and inform your clinical work as a play therapist and an adolescent therapist by lessening the feelings of being confused, overwhelmed or unsure of what the working relationship should be with the parents.   Learning Objectives: You will learn how to engage and build a strong relationship with the parents while keeping your integrity and work with their kids in play therapy and adolescent therapy a sacred one.  You will learn how to have boundaries and structure with the parents in the context of play and adolescent therapy.  You will learn when to bring parents into the play or adolescent therapy session- should you use Family Therapy or Filial Therapy, wait, what is Filial Therapy? Let’s explore this.  You will learn more about confidentiality and work through scenarios regarding this in the play therapy and adolescent therapy sessions.  We will have an attorney present to talk about divorce/family law and explain who has legal custody and who has rights to information.  We will have a question/answer session to address your particular questions and/or concerns.
