Arizona Flower Market is proud to host its latest in the summer series of design classes, Sogetsu Ikebana Style Japanese Design Class led by master designer, Ping Wei.
Looking for a little zen this summer? Ikebana is the ancient art of Japanese Floral Design that emphasizes form & balance, with formal display according to strict rules. Sogetsu Ikebana is a much more relaxed, organic form of design. Ikebana is the seemless blending of indoors & outdoors, using natural materials such as twigs, berry branches, florals & greens.Linear lines often define the distinctive look of an Ikebana style design. Ping will share his wealth of knowledge with the class and have you designing like a sensei in no time!
Space is limited to 20 students, so sign up early to ensure your spot. Bring a friend for twice the fun!
Registration fee of $75 includes everything you will need to create your masterpiece, including tools and some special gifts to take with you. Come find your happy place at our chill design class.

He also hosts classes in his own design studio here in Phoenix. Ping further studies his art form annually at the Sogetsu headquarters in Tokyo. His current teacher’s ranking is first grade Somu, one of the highest levels in the field.
