Dr. Perry, DC is the director and founder of Healing Hands Wellness Center, LLC. Dr. Perry has been working as a chiropractor since 1998 and has developed a reputation for generosity of time and spirit and thorough attention to each patient's particular condition. She has a genuine interest in helping people identify the root cause of their health problems and enjoys working with patients to achieve their health goals. She uses a variety of bodywork techniques, including drop table and traditional chiropractic, Activator, Cranial Sacral Therapy, a variety of muscular therapies and exercise recommendations. Patients can also take advantage of a science based approach to nutritional healthcare with food allergy testing and lab work, including blood, urine and hair analysis. Many problems show up in lab tests long before you “feel” symptoms. A science based nutritional analysis can indicate true health or precursors to more serious illnesses, such as diabetes, cancer, liver, heart and other health issues.

Dr. Perry has been practicing in Auburn since 2000 and developed Healing Hands Wellness Center, LLC in 2001. Previously she had a private practice and was in a holistic group in Flagstaff, AZ. She landed in Flagstaff after meeting a chiropractor named Dr. H. Roscoe, DC who worked in Flagstaff. His intricate drop table technique piqued her interest, and she was able to do a four month apprenticeship with him. He was the first chiropractor who was able to get rid of her headaches, which he did by using chiropractic and cranial sacral therapy. This changed the way she looked at body work and sent her in new direction. She learned cranial osteopathy from Dr. Roscoe and went onto take courses from the Upledger Institute in CranioSacral Therapy. She has completed CranioSacral Therapy (C/S) I, C/S II, Somatoemotional Release (SER) I, SER II, C/S Pediatrics, The Brain Speaks and has been a teacher's assistant in C/S I & II.

Experience Spawns a Career for Dr. Perry

Heather was introduced to chiropractic at the age of 13 by her mother, Toloa. “My mother started experiencing chronic problems from an accident at the young age of 16. Unfortunately, she did not start seeing a chiropractor until the age of 35. By that time she had significant pain and disability.” Toloa found relief from the treatments and when her chiropractor suggested that she also bring in her children for check ups, she thought it would be a good idea. Heather remembers the father and son chiropractors that her family visited very well. “They always made me feel better and at ease.” At age 17, Heather was involved in a car accident. “This accident”, recalls Heather, “left me with significant neck pain and headaches just before heading off to college. As a starving college student, I remember suffering for quite a while before the pain and inability to concentrate finally drove me to find a chiropractor.” If Heather wasn't a supporter of chiropractic before, she became one then. “I always had known the power and relief of chiropractic, but the clarity it gave me was still almost unbelievable.” While Heather was not able to do the level of treatments she needed at that point, she did what she could to get her through. It was not until after she graduated that she began to realize the benefits of chiropractic. Heather was seeing a chiropractor after she moved back to New York and was, at the same time, trying to figure out what to do with her life. “One day while on the way home from one of my appointments, it hit me. Why not become a chiropractor myself?” It took some time to achieve this goal, but the decision really was that simple. Now Heather can't imagine being or doing anything else.
