Practitioner Q & A:

Q: What are your passions?

A: I am passionate about the work that I do because I feel there are so many people out there who are not living the lives they want. Whether it be due to chronic pain, anxiety, a health challenge or what every the problem standing in their path might be, they deserve to have help removing it. I suffered with debilitating migraines for most of my life, I was unable to work or even get out of bed some days due to my migraines. I continued going to doctors and specialists for help, often times leaving with more problems than I came in with. These experiences have lead me to being the helping hand people need and deserve to find the treatment option that is going to work for them. I believe every person is an individual and has specific needs, no one treatment is going to work for them, that is why I believe in having a variety of options available.

Q: What is Unique about your work?

A: What is unique about my work is that I have combined my knowledge as a Registered Nurse of 10 years in traditional medicine with my holistic therapies to create a beautiful blend of both. Having experience in both modalities allows me to understand people and help them, regardless of the current modality they are utilizing. I consider myself a bridge between modern medicine and holistic therapies.

Q: Where do you see earth/humanity going in the next 10 years?

A: I see earth/humanity creating a greater divide between modern medicine which tends to be insurance driven care and holistic care, which is patient driven. I believe educated people will start taking charge of their own health care and will be more holistic driven, taking better care of the earth with recycling, growing organic and reducing pollution.

Q: What is the importance of community/relationships?

A: The importance of developing a community creates a sense of oneness with those close to you. We all know the benefits of having a close, caring family network, creating a community expands that family network, it gives you people who are around to help, people you can count on when you are in need, and it gives you a sense of aid when you are able to return the aid to others. Strong communities are able to build the community they are passionate about. One person can do good things, a community of people can do great things!

Q: What is your approach to communication with your clients?

A: My approach to communication with my clients is open and honest. I like to communicate in person to experience the all the communication queues: voice, facial expressions, body movements, eye contact, we communicate in so many ways other than just voice.

Q: What is fear to you?

A: Fear to me is the lack of tools to accomplish something. Fear can be real or just appearing real to us. Sometimes we just need someone to face our fears with us or simply help us find the tools we need to face the fear ourselves.

Q: What is healing/freedom?

A: Healing freedom is when we are able to receive/find what we need to heal within ourselves. When we find our own healing, we are able to more freely express ourselves because we have a better understanding of who we are and what is important to us as humans. When we better understand ourselves by finding our freedom, we are more equipped to help others find their healing/freedom. I believe as a community that when we heal, that healing transfers to earth. Mother Earth and the human race are deeply connected, when we hurt Mother Earth, we in turn are hurting ourselves, thus when we heal ourselves we in turn heal Mother Earth.

Q: How do you guide people into their own healing/inner freedom?

A: I guide people into their own healing/inner freedom through communication. I believe in sitting down and truly getting to know them first. By speaking with them and getting to truly know and understand them, what is important to them, what their goals are and where they want to go, I am better equipped to help them come up with a plan. I believe in creating a specialized plan for each person, each person is an individual and has specific needs, thus requires their own unique map to reach their healing. I have learned a variety of healing modalities in an effort to expand my toolbox, I want to be able to offer my clients what will work for them.

Q: What tools have you found least/most effective in your life's work?

A: The tools I have found least/most effective in my life’s work vary depend on the situation/client. Each person is different and has different needs. Ultimately, I have found honest listening to be my greatest tool. Everyone deserves to be listened to and when we truly listen people are generally able to tell us what they need.
