The Force That Moves Waves

What is this force that moves nature? That brings life to a wave? If you have a smart scientific explanation I’m afraid that won't suffice. The force I’m talking about that comes crashing through this wave arrives from way before – it is greater than the phenomena of a wave. This is the idea of the force that comes from before the ocean became the ocean. It is the force that aligned the laws of physics into their obvious place of beingness from seeming nothing -- the force that animates matter, creates galaxies and explodes big bangs. The force that holds the manifest universe in place, so that all the chaos that unfolds within it can do so in harmony. This is the same force bringing life to this wave… and the same force moving you and me; AS you and me. How beautiful that there is something rather than nothing, and that this something is so alive and rich and complex, with the passion and expression of infinity… and how unspeakably incredible that this force is us. That the will of the universe has brought this experience into form for the exact sake of all this moment might be worth. You sitting on a screen, perhaps for a moment pausing your routine experience of vague boredom for a brief glimpse of basic fascination -- and not from a certain video of any sorts, but from all that is beneath and behind it. From the simple fact of existence itself.

There is a force that comes from forever ago and will forever go on. This is the force that, using all of itself, is the consciousness looking through your eyes, moving them from word to word, the energy rolling in oceans and crashing as waves, growing flowers, erecting trees, birthing stars on the other side of the universe, and doing things far beyond, on layers far deeper then we will ever understand. And yet still, they happen with us.

We think we are alone in this world -- separate from the wonders of creation. Can we see that as small as we may seem, we are always connected to it all? All part of one unified force: the universe expressing the potential of infinite somethingness through diversified relations with itself, taking the form of a human for the brief ride of the most exciting, worthy experience in all of existence. Can we take a step back, and for a moment be nowhere else but with the acknowledgment of the sheer beauty and grandiosity of our basic being?

We are the consciousness through which this great something is birthed, experienced, and received. You are me and I am you, and all is us.

What if we were to take a look back to truly see ourselves as being part of the same thing, here to have fun experiencing and learning about ourselves through the play of universal evolution, as the one objective interacting with itself through subjective perspectives? We are waves within an ocean - each wave being just as much the whole ocean itself as any other. Can we expand our perspectives to become as universal as we are? Recognize that all our worries of this and that, are cosmic giggles in the true scheme of things? It’s funny isn't it -- how we think these awe-striking truths of all truths to be less relevant of our basic daily contemplation than the most trivial concerns.

Perhaps most importantly... can we allow ourselves to sit in awe of the mystery of creation… in silence, in wonder, in simple being, like the open slates through which everything is experienced that we are, without trying to explain it away?
