Emily is a chef, yoga instructor, writer and sports nutritionist. Since she was a child growing up in small town Victor, Iowa, she dreamt she would one day live abroad. In 2013, she took a leap of faith that made her dreams become her reality and moved to Europe. After having launched a successful yoga and wellness program with the luxury Serendip Spa, a tranquil haven in the heart of Brussels and working with the internationally recognized Belgian Beer and Food Magazine, she moved with her husband to Barcelona, Spain where her days are filled with such pleasures as cooking, yoga, reading, writing, meditation, painting, traveling, learning a foreign language and of course enjoying a glass of wine or two with friends. She is grateful for the blessings life has bestowed on her and shares her story in hopes to inspire others to reach for their own dreams not matter how big or small in her new book Big Time Journey of a Small Town Girl, set to be published later this year. Her academic credentials include two A.A.S degrees in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management from Kirkwood College and a B.A in History from Arizona State University. She has her 200-hour RYT through Yoga Alliance and earned a certification in Sports Nutrition through AFPA. She is currently offering culinary workshops and yoga retreats in a variety of destinations around Europe.
